33+Scrivens or 57+Marincin for Talbot+Boyle.
NYR gotta clear some cap with Stepan/Hagelin needing new deals, MSL re signing or UFA replacement. Boyle will be 39 and at 4.5M. McLellan familiar with him. Mentor for younger D. If NYR wants a back up, Scrivens deal. If they want a D, Marincin deal. |

Robin.
Lehner. - Nucker101
Count me in the group that believes Ottawa deals Anderson to the Blues. |

This blog was one of your better ones. Who has the best chance of being a top 10 NHL goalie in the next 5 yrs?
Lack
Jones
Talbot
Gibson
Lehner
?
Whomever, that's the guy we should go for. |

abysmal
more cap space and looks like better free agent crop next year. Wouldn't bet on a much of a big year this year |

Young kids Klefbom and Nurse plus whomever they can get this summer. If they strike out then their D looks like a complete mess. |

Not unless they sign Ehoff, offer sheet Dougie and send Nikitin to Siberia, anyway. |

Nurse shouldn't be a lock for this team. Not a slight on him. |

Purcell, Nikitin, Gordon, Scrivens off the books after next season. Good amount of cap room to work with. I imagine Lander or Yakimov replace Gordon long term. |

I dont see a way around it he almost made it last year in his first camp... Not saying I dont agree more seasoning would benefit but I think he is too good for who he will compete against on the Oilers roster not to be selected. |

Dont forget trading Ference for a used jock strap and we have the $$ to make those type of moves... Gordon is a warrior tho- the young guys could benefit from a guy like that... |

Both Andersen and Gibson will be RFA after next year. If they trade anybody, hoping it's Andersen. |

So do you really want to put a guy in there, even talented as he may be, who is going to get lit up and his confidence shattered behind such a weak defense? Obviously goaltending is huge, but I believe that defense is a lot more important. If your defense is good enough, you can win a cup one year with an AHL journeyman, get rid of him, and win another cup with another AHL journeyman a couple years later (Yes I'm being somewhat sarcastic but I hope you see where I'm coming from)

Well I think if he's battling Nikitin and Ference for spots it's pretty likely he'll win one. Let's hope Chia gets the job done this summer. |

My SERIOUS order: Niemi (because he's a veteran with a cup ring), Gibson (I wish, would still need a bit time), Lehner (Would still get a vet. He's 18 months away. Easily the most athletic and hungry to win out of any goalie I've seen play in person), Talbot over Lehner if you don't have to give anything, although the 33rd pick wouldn't be much to give up for Lehner (+ a 2nd in 2016) |

I hope so... I want him to stay and rip it so that the one guy here would be like ohhhh that's why .... but ya wouldn't surprise me since Chiarelli knows the Sens well. But seeing what's happened with Bishop, I wouldn't trade Lehner to see him in the cup finals 2-3 years from now |

Nurse is a beast, he'll be hard to keep off of the team. |
